you know how i feel about responsibility but i think the term is great, it gives people a way to vent or crow about getting shit done and it’s pretty much always used in conjunction with actually doing it

I wonder if rather than self deprecation it's a refusal to use existing forms(/traditions). I once heard someone saying the words "the parental units". I can understand not saying "mommy" or "papa", but to this day that moment has stuck in my mind.
