If you've built your entire tech stack (high importance) on a proprietary API offered by a single vendor, you have no credible alternative.

The person with the credible alternative isn’t you, it is the next 1,000 people deciding to which cloud gets 90%+ of their workload for 5+ years at a high growth startup. Your leverage is them mentioning your post in a meeting (or remembering it with finger over Sign Up button).
