Biggest frustration with time zones in general: sometimes it's a city "New York time", and sometimes a time zone. If I don't know which time zone a city is in, it's a double lookup. (Try it: what time zone is Mackay, Queensland, Australia?)

I know the pain. I'm in Sydney (Australian Eastern Daylight Time) but some people think US Eastern is the only time zone in the world. (Looking at you, Mr
