I can think of maybe one major success plausibly allocated to that at the margin between 1950 and 2019, and that is iffy. For the amount spent on it over that interval, seems like sugary drinks got a lot better value for their money.

Well, you have to first recognise what mainstream education does to people's minds to recognise what their minds might be like otherwhise. For example, lambdaschool markets itself as teaching learning skills to college age and above folk.

My thoughts was not based upon whether the alteration is useful, but compared to selling sugary drinks, for me the alteration is much more marked. You need to create minds pliable enough for various forms of suggestion to take hold.
