I think, normatively, we should be almost unreasonably supportive of people building things.

It would be a happier, healthier world if people looked at entrepreneurs and extended them the same charitable "Hmm, I default to thinking you're probably good at your job and your offering is valuable" we extend to teachers, journalists, or barbers for that matter.

This may be splitting hairs somewhat, but while this is definitely a feature of HN (sadly), it may not be a feature of the startup community. It may be that the people who make these comments are not and never will be startup founders.

We may have a dichotomy here like that between e.g. athletes and sports fans. In which case chances are slim that things will improve.
