Hi [Not Provided], ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I get how the operator of a software tool can make this mistake. I do not understand why product teams let them. I triply do not understand when the operator, the product team, and the bugged marketing email all are at the same company.

If you think that’s crazy, I have some stories about a certain ESP for eCommerce that will blow your mind.
For example, did you know it’s possible to 1) program a kill switch that stops all email sending AND 2) not “notify customer that we’re not sending their email anymore”? -
The irony is many layers deep, of course, but one layer might be: Pitching “Send email based on custom triggers and lifecycle events!” But not including “We stop providing the service you pay $429/mo for” as an email-worthy lifecycle event. Do u even transaction email? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
