One of my biggest persistent problems has been a) sleeping enough and b) sleeping the hours which I want to sleep. I was recently suggested to try sleeping with a blindfold / sleep mask. This is the best health upgrade I've ever gotten for the least work required.

The actual thing: https://www.slip.com/collections/sleep-masks/products/sleep-mask-black … ; unlike my previous unsuccessful tries at this, it actually blocks all light (instant total darkness even with Tokyo peeking in through a window) and does not irritate my face even if I end up sleeping on it.

Long story told many times on my blog and podcasts. Visa process defies a tweet since I’ve done very different ones 4X+ and am now permanent resident. Easiest step 1 is “Find someone with hiring authority in Tokyo.”
