Been thinking about the @LambdaSchool concept in Japan.
Student debt is less of a problem (US: ~$1.4T vs Japan: ~$76B)
But the current education system is not producing enough engineers. I can imagine income share agreements encouraging more to consider career changes.

Plausibly half the engineers in Tokyo would double their salary overnight if they could credibly threaten moving to the Tokyo office of AppAmaGooBookSoft, and the biggest reasons they don’t are primarily linguistic and, as a far second, cultural competency.

I agree big selling point for lambda in near term would be remote work or local sv company office if you have the language ability.
