Folks are welcome to their own aesthetic preferences but for me the interaction loses nothing of the magic for knowing they operate a logistics network mostly out of expectation of payment rather than because they’re just so jazzed about delivering packages.

(Airport to door service basically anywhere in the country costs about $15 to $20 per suitcase. Beats the heck out of lugging your suitcases around Tokyo public transit during peak times. Hint hint anyone visiting.)

Kuroneko is approximately as efficient between any two addresses in Japan, and almost all Japanese hotels will happily handle the logistics for you.
