@patio11 Hey Patrick! do you have any suggestions for a new person in US to build credit fast? I have good credit in Canada but in US, I have none and it's causing all sorts of issues from renting to getting credit card to cell-phone plans etc.
Easiest way: ask US branch of your Canadian bank to port your credit history over. May also work with Amex. Other way: go to bank your salary is deposited into. Get a “secured card” with a $500 limit backed by a $500 deposit. Use responsibly for 6mo. Presto, 700s.

I use TD in Canada but they don’t have any retail branch in Chicago. Capital one rejected my application for secure credit card even though I got capital one card for years here in Canada
. Will call Amex and see if they can help me!Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
