This is a good tip. Mine: if you’ve ever got a document needing shredding, any bank teller in the country will take it with “Pardon me, running errands and I have this needing shredding, would you mind?” with no questions asked.https://twitter.com/preinheimer/status/1080096687249547265 …

“That doesn’t sound like the banks I know?” Deprofessionalization of banking and banking’s deputization by the state for surveillance are deep topics but my short response is that even if you don’t believe it about banks banks believe it about themselves.

Can you provide examples of what bank can do?

Shorter to list what banks can’t do, if you’re asking over the width and breadth of their customer base. Oddest thing I ever asked for was “Can I have the ledger for my bank account since inception?” (10+ years) They had to put in a request to HQ for it, but they got it.

This reminds me of “Would you add this to your outgoing mail?” from The Shawshank Redemption.

Also a thing that works almost anywhere there is a bin labeled Outgoing Mail.
