A user writes <table> in some HTML or similar document and then it gets intercepted before leaving the server and replaced with different HTML which uses a CSS-based grid system to do layout.

A few of our customers do this in production workflows: A legacy platform generates XML, an XSLT transform is used to produce an HTML DOM TABLE with CSS, and the resulting table is scraped (server-side with puppeteer) and fed to an interactive grid component (powered by CANVAS)

Does the XSLT contain business logic? Why wouldn't they parse the XML directly?
