I wish the media was in a frenzy about the the companies that *actually* sell your data (and control your access to loans and credit too) Experian, Equifax, Transunion and others are far far worse

I fully understand and even appreciate the credit system, and still find it abhorrent that they’re given free reign to aggregate and then resell your personal data down to the record

I am getting quite tired of conversations along the lines of "thing X has problems" -> "ah we must destroy it" -> "no that'll make a vacuum likely filled by sth worse and less considered". (Sometimes we do need reboots.) This is IMO exactly how this will go if it starts up. :/

Then how do you explain the absence of CRAs in mature banking markets such as France? Not saying retail banking and personal lending in France & other countries are efficient but, still, no CRAs and it sort of work?
