“He’s going to put an ad for working at Stripe in there.” No time like the present! We’re hiring we’re hiring we’re hiring we’re hiring. Like, hundreds of engineers. We have remote jobs available. We are *so* hiring people at your seniority level.https://stripe.com/jobs

Here, I'll do that on Twitter: We have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to migrate the financial system from using rails which replicate the flow of paper over SFTP to Something Else. Cryptocurrency is the Something Else that will win, because it achieves incentive alignment.

I heard something about writing being central at stripe. Can you work in something about how you make remote teams function proper?
-
Quite relevant to my interests as I’m de facto remote from my team and it is transitioning in a remote-first direction. Will do.

How do i find my next consulting clients fitting this criteria: $1-$10M, no General Manager, profitable but stodgy, low tech industry that typically does not avail themselves of tech less than 5 Y. IBM philosophy: sell them last yr's tech with outstanding service.
-
I would bet against that being IBM's target market; would expect them to be looking more at 100X++ that size. Totally agree that one could do this lower on scale. Maybe start with a specific high-margin low-tech industry and network your face off locally?

Your management style, things you have learned as a manager this year (if applicable)
-
I’m not a manager, more of a senior IC, though that itself might be an interesting topic.

How much your data is documented? How do you keep those docs up to date? Do you have a workflow or approval process? If there is a difference of opinion on data definitions is it visible and how is it handled?
-
Can you be more specific than "data" here, partially because I'm curious which stores/stages/types/etc are most interesting to you and partly because there is a lot of nuance in the answer.
