My father, who is a white collar professional who has been using computers for 30 years, will say “I have a link to share with you... come get it at Christmas” over email, by which he means he found an interesting article online and has printed it to await my perusal.
(To be fair to my dad, this is because media publishers have, in his experience, been really bad at letting him share links the way we would, but paper hasn’t failed him yet.)
A fun variant of this I experienced at an old job was when I received an email with Word, Excel, or occasionally a PowerPoint attachment with a screenshot inside.
A friend of mine at a law firm had senior partners who would print results of google searches and highlight important ones with a marker to “share” with her.
