I want communications channels (and by this I mean Gmail and Slack) to start getting smart enough to do things like “Ah, a receipt from Delta in your work account. Let me take a wild guess: this goes to an expense report.”

I'm concerned the more reliant on AI analysis we are for these types of tasks (as opposed to programmatic systems, standards, etc), the harder it will be for new competitors to enter the field.

You can kinda already see it with gmail and spam: It's hard to be a good email provider people want to use, because it's hard to be as good as Gmail at spam filtering.
