Sadly not getting a chance to really explore Singapore on this trip but my one impression from the car window is “Wow there are plants *everywhere* even amid super dense construction” and oh boy is it nice. It’s Tokyo amped to 11 on that score.

It's amazing the difference perspective makes. Coming from Vancouver, one of the first things I noticed about Tokyo was that there were very few (to my eye) plants/trees in the city.

Interestingly, that is very not my subjective impression of Tokyo, but I think it heavily depends on where one goes.
