This is objectively true. A solo developer can still write a functioning operating system, and there's an existence proof for one of those toys becoming a non-toy in recent memory. Hmmm. That' s progress sure but is it value? A modern business wouldn't hire a dev to build an OS. Yet if a single dev can build an OS, that seems like a really big accomplishment, no? In contrast, building a browser seems as wasteful as, going to Blockbuster for movies.
