Crimety that page might be one of the best initiatives I've ever seen from a local government. That is exactly what a YC startup (or equivalent caliber team) would deliver if they were given 3 months to work on it. The offer, the presentation, everything.

(It might not be from the local government? Seems to credit a local foundation, which if accurate might be one of the savviest investments I've ever seen from a local foundation.)

Japan’s smaller cities should do this kind of thing too.

We used to in Gifu Prefecture, specifically for "desirable foreigners" (actual quote IIRC), but sadly it was marred by execution difficulties and then canceled after the Lehman shock, for a bunch of reasons which are pretty predictable and difficult to comment about on Twitter.

#remotework! The whole point of working remotely is so you do NOT have to relocate and you can chose your work place. The perversion of the phrase ‘remote work’ seems to have officially startedpic.twitter.com/h0LCYOX09n -
Nobody has to relocate to Tulsa; they’re not conditioning acceptance of a job on this (and in fact require you to already have stable income). They’re just trying to get your residence given the fact of one’s work situation. Which feels quite reasonable; nobody worse off.

I grew up in Tulsa and have actually worked out of this coworking space, it's nice. There's already some remote tech workers. Downtown is undergoing a mini renaissance of sorts. If anyone is seriously considering it I'm happy to give tips on the city.
