Note that this very much includes topics for which there is not typically year-to-year thrash in facts or recommendations. We have a general preference for the new even when we shouldn't; this is particularly exacerbated in the technology industry.

Your post on negotiation has netted me ~$30,000 so far. I send it to every junior data scientist about to accept a job.

Thanks! That made my evening.

(1) this post is excellent. (2) I just sent
@paulg ‘s “maker vs manager schedule” post to my team yesterday after to emphasis a point in 1-1s, which is even older; evergreen content is, well, evergreen! Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I think there can be an intended usage of "this is old" that translates to "maybe my audience has already read this, and so my recommendation to read it is not worth your time, but the content definitely is". I won't claim that's the case here, I have no idea.

That post is
. My dad recommended "I stick close to where the money comes from, because some of it will splash up on me." I was a fundraiser & now I manage the database for our sales team--I'm the person that makes the systems that allow our team to sell more. Profit center.Thanks. Exactly. Anything that changes a bit every year you can just update and republish. Win-win as you get more readers and the readers get up-to-date content.
