The problem with Atlas is exposure to litigation in the US. That is a big legal risk, the EU is more reasonable, especially if you have limited resources.

Also, I don't buy this explanation: Stripe is present in many (most?) EU countries. Poland is part of the EU and isn't much different. And Braintree seems to have no problems "supporting" businesses in Poland. What's so different?
