Some words mean different things to different people in unfortunate ways. Example: broker sent me an email titled "Takeover notification", and I nearly had a heart attack. It turns out Twilio bought SendGrid.

If you're from finance Twitter and not software Twitter: an "account takeover" is when an unauthorized party gains constructive control of a user's account. This often has very unfun consequences.

I have no investment thesis for Twilio; I'm their oldest and biggest fan and bought a trivial amount of stock on IPO day purely out of desire to feel like I owned a tiny bit of their story. (Why I'm their oldest and biggest fan is on my blog and HN at some length.)
