https://stripe.com/jobs <-- Some more specifics. Two specific genres of folks who I would love to chat with about this, maybe not today but in near future: 1) Do you want to work for our engineering office in Singapore, from Singapore or from Japan? 2) Interested in remote eng?

One of top questions I get is "Do you guys hire remote engineers?" and in fact a healthy portion of our engineering organization is remote, and we are looking to hire folks for that as well. Some colleagues and I are putting together a virtual coffee if you care to learn more.

We'll let you know in the usual places when details are ready on that. It was a very Stripelike decisionmaking process: "We want to hire more remote engineers." "We should probably have, like, a remote coffee chat about that being an option." "Yes. How do we do that?" "We do it."

"And then after we have done it, we will write down how we did it, so we or someone else can produce a better version next time."

I always worry when a company that I love goes fundraising. Please tell me Stripe is already profitable, here to stay, and won’t have investors push it into changing products/pricing/target clients/etc?

I fed my family out of a series of Stripe accounts for many years prior to joining the company. If I were, for sake of argument, to quit my job tomorrow, I'd have a new business by roughly Tuesday. That business would have a Stripe account.

Wish the job descriptions had bit more info on requirements. As a developer with 20 years in was a bit disappointing to get a near immediate rejection that my qualifications didn't line up with positions. Aside from that though, good luck, love what Atlas (and stripe) are doing!

You're only hiring in SF, though, right? I talked with your HR folks when I was looking and they said there was a moratorium on hiring people in Seattle, so the conversation ended there. No sour grapes, just curious if you're back operating in this market.

We are definitely hiring in Seattle! cc
