As a long term resident of Japan, I find wasei-eigo (Japanese-made English) creeping into my English conversations. The other day, I used "order made", and I didn't realize it wasn't "proper" English until it was out of my mouth.

I'd never heard that phrase until now, so I'd agree its not "english english". Isn't the correct phrase "made to order" (or Build/Built to order)? Seems so. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Build_to_order …
