This reminds me of your earlier tweet describing the term "desk name" in financial companies; I can attest that with at least AWS, at least after spending some amount of money with them, you get assigned Real People with names and sometimes even face to face contact.

How can one go about getting a named rep for otherwise commodity services like domain name registration? I recently went though a similar issue and it seems absurd that I can’t find a way to pay more than $15/yr for my company’s single point of failure.
