Considering Japan is known for great service and "omotenashi," it's surprising that there isn't a world renowned Japanese hospitality brand. Where is the Marriott of Japan?

The brands I keep expecting to see go materially global are CocoIchi and Sukiya; they’ve got a product that plausibly everyone wants and they can deliver it below McDonalds price points in almost arbitrary quantities from any commercial kitchen.

Also if done right: Ichiran, Yoshinoya, kushikatsu tanaka (first two already expanding globally)
