Would you choose to be absolutely miserable for 3 years (working all the time, bad work environment, stress, no time for friends or family, bad sleep/health) if it meant getting enough money to never need to work again the rest of your life once you’re done? [poll]

The other part of the answer for me might or might not be relevant to you, but if someone said "I want to trade stupendous amounts of money in return for you being utterly miserable" to me, I would say "I buy that you will factually be able to produce the utterly miserable part."

(You can credibly offer someone shedloads of money, but if you're also offering pain explicitly, my prior expectation of successfully delivering the money goes way down. People who can deterministically award huge amounts of money don't typically ask for pain in return for it.)

yeah this depends heavily on age. When you're young, take crazy risks. It's about the only time you can.

I’m in a similar position to you
@patio11 but I actually went through the scenario in the poll between 2004 and 2006 at age 25/6/7. Didn’t get set up for life out of it but a very rich learning experienceThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
