I’m surprised that the Kindle (and related options) hasn’t brought a Choose Your Own Adventure renaissance. Think what you can do with that format when you’re freed from the 180 page constraint.

There’s a smartphone app that does this for a choose your own adventure based on Hamlet. It’s by the guy who does Dinosaur Comics,

There were a few Kindle ebook "apps" that attempted to do that, and I tried a few of them out with my first Kindle years ago. They didn't reliably maintain compatibility with different versions of the Kindle though. (Technically you wouldn't need Kindle SDK for basic ones).
