Specific example for you: if you attempt to return office supplies, you will be told to simply dispose of them and you’ll be refunded. “Aha but that’s abusable! Bet you didn’t think of that, multi-billion dollar office supply company! I bet you don’t even have a spreadsheet!”

Otoh it surprises me how big some organizations can get without knowing details of their own org, if they keep doing something else right. (Yes we could make 20% more but we are profitable, who cares)
