American Express personal loans are a jawdroppingly good experience for a traditional financial product. Blended online and offline experience, *heavily* relies on your information on file with them, and done in like ~2 minutes at 7 AM on a Saturday with, I think, human review.

regulators don’t like that sort of subjectivity. And I’d be shocked if a human is seeing the 2-minute version. Significant % of personal loans at previous employer had no human intervention.
