I live in Tokyo, in a 9 story building adjacent to single family housing to the east and west. This city block has somewhere in the neighborhood of 350 doors housing probably just under a thousand people. Google "Nakameguro River" to see the dystopian Blade Runner scenes.

I think I’m probably the least proficient Stripe in the Japan office and I used to be a professional translator. Short version: studied in college, came for a short stint with intent of just firming up business Japanese, became a salaryman, quit, life happened, 15 years later...
