The show has been in the US for 20 years, so yeah, a 10yo who started watching Pokemon then would be 30yo now, and could have a 10yo kid. I've seen parent and kid cosplay pairs at conventions that look like about that generational split, though the kid is usually a bit younger.

I missed Pokemon (too old). My kid was wearing a Pokemon t-shirt. He had a 20 minute conversation with a guy in our lobby about Pokemon. The guy said it was huge when he was a kid.

Your child into Yokai? Mine is deeply into Yokai. Since I don’t read Japanese ( my son does) I play with him by putting on the Yokai watch and having battles with the medals. It’s fun. Using their different influences or powers against each other.
