    Thank you to The Giving Station L.A. for volunteering to assemble and donate 90 hygiene kits and 30 back-to-school kits to PATH! These kits are exactly what we need to help prepare our families and children heading back to school this month! 📚📓✏️

    A short thread: Over the 15 years I’ve worked in Veterans’ services, I’ve seen how the anniversary of 9/11 carries a special weight for those who fought to protect our country. This year, 20 years on, will be exceptionally difficult given the recent news from Afghanistan.

    Donohue experienced homelessness for 5 years after he was discharged from the military. During this time, he faced the harsh outdoor elements and uncertainty of being unhoused. That all changed once he connected with PATH! Now, he happily lives at our Veterans Village! 💛🏡

    We’ve seen thousands of Angelenos hurt by LA County’s housing shortage. will be an important tool to build more affordable housing in the County, and we urge Assembly leaders to bring it to a vote.

    We can hope for economic justice or we can fight for it. I am fighting for because Angelenos deserve affordable housing.

    Today the LA City Council Homelessness & Poverty Committee rejected a proposal to prosecute unhoused people if they decline shelter. This was the right decision. We share the sense of urgency to house our neighbors and for that reason, we must adopt a person-centered approach.

    We hope that stories like Donohue's provide hope to Veterans experiencing homelessness post-9/11. Our SSVF program was created to respond to Veteran homelessness and connect our unhoused neighbors to the supportive services such as case management and mental health services.

    As our population ages and rent soars, more seniors are at risk of homelessness. At PATH, we connect our seniors to rental assistance and housing programs. Currently, our SD team is fundraising to provide TVs for our senior residents, please donate today:
