    The Rev. Scott Campbell is proposing amending implementation for plans to take effect 12 months after close of for the entire church -- not just central conferences. The issue though is the paragraph in question just pertains to central conferences.

    Here’s what’s happening now

    So first is a petition from the One Church Plan, but it really applies to every plan. It delays the implementation time of any plan for the Central Conferences, because they do not meet until later in the year. This amended petition extends the time allotted.

    The relatives of my AME sister... This couple from MS is for the Traditional Plan. Rev & Mr Gipson I asked Mr G if he was going to leave if the plan was voted down: “I’m with the church not with a plan”, he said.

    Listening to ppl talk today who did not remember the UMC’s history of racial segregation. On the day the Church voted down plans that would fully include LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 Clergy, this lady called the UMC a “reconciling church” 👀 Interesting

    I talked to someone today who said things came out last year or so but didn’t seem to matter to those determined to have their way

    I just think position papers would have been helpful to everyone. Perhaps the traditionalists could see their scriptures interpreted in a different but reasonable way and the progressives could understand the traditionalists’ concerns without thinking they’re just bigots.
