    So we've got a leak of a new mode in Madden NFL 21 that would seem added at least in part to undercut the future (likely) arcade-style NFL game from 2K Sports.

    There's a beta for Madden NFL 21 that goes live tonight and EA is actually allowing participants to post impressions publicly (but not any media from it). That's pretty surprising they would clear that- though they obviously want to move on from the negativity

    Recently I had been thinking of getting a new pair of glasses. So, pretty cool of my vertigo to kick in while walking up the stairs sending me face first into my front door, breaking my current ones. Just what I needed to pull the trigger on the purchase.

    First sign next-gen games will see a price increase across the board as NBA 2K21 will be $70 on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Also confirmed no free upgrade from current to next gen unless buying the $100 special edition.

    Good to see trending. Speaking out the way many have today is what can lead to change. Not buying/boycotting has proven ineffective given that, for every one of those who do, there's someone who buys it and spends $600 in Ultimate Team.

    EA renamed Madden NFL 21's Franchise to "Classic Franchise" as a way to communicate they have no plans to improve the mode this year or even in the future. That was deliberate. It's like how they labeled the "Legacy" versions of games that only get updated rosters.

    Interesting note that progress in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team will carry over from PS4->PS5 and Xbox One->Series X but Career/Franchise mode will not. Likely the case then for Madden 21 also.

    Not much that EA showed or described in the features today hasn't been in Madden or used to market it in the past. To be fair the initial showing is always more flash than substance. But this isn't a satisfying response to the downturn Madden took last year post-release.
