Someone just wrote a response to one of my tweets about COVID conditions in prisons...they said: "Maybe they shouldn't have gone to prison" The sheer lack of empathy it takes to be so glib in response to people getting infected en masse and many dying is just astounding
People are in prison as a consequence of an intentionally constructed inequality that intends to create poverty and stress to ensure a weak and compliant labor force. All societal probs descend from that. Racism, sexism, xenophob, lack of health care, elder poverty etc
