Yes I’m in Nice Provence Alpes Maritime everyone got free masks BEFORE the confinement ended. Rather more useful then. They slackened up to not compulsory tho shops expect them. Now after a crazy weekend disco and a few new hot spots masks are back and compulsory in shops.

Had UK gvt distributed face masks to the public ,then they could have brought compulsory face masks into force immediately.Would imagine that waiting 10 days before it’s enforced is to give public time to obtain the masks. Their budget is all being consumed by failed projects

Public has masks. Can make. Shops already give out. Govt is fudging. They need to educate now. And make it mandatory in shops now. In 2 weeks mandatory if outside your home.
