Many popular services use E2E encryption... but they keep a lot of metadata that can be used to reverse engineer your habits, interests based on who you're talking to etc. Peers can soon reclaim back their privacy in communication, storage, browsing etc.

Agreed. And not using central servers. P2P needs to be taken as a constraint in all protocol designs.
