      Thread re: cross-planet chains 1. Feels to me that #bitcoin is the only L1 chain that can be truly cross-planetary as it is now. Earth/Mars comms full round-trip is between 6m and 44m.

      There was no decision to keep blocks at 1 MB. SegWit was a 2.3x blocksize increase. If blocks are lower than that max size today then only because of lack of demand and, as a result, SegWit adoption.

          Thanks! Even max 2.3MB blocks are quite small compared to other chains, so I think your general point stands :)
