I wouldn't trust Slack with potentially sensitive internal company comms. Run your own Matrix server FTW
Yeah we started looking into it. It's quite a complex migration that requires time. Also Matrix seems the default chat application of the upcoming Librem 5. Feels a good choice.

I've been using Matrix for company comms for at least 4 years. Both the client and server maintainence experience has improved dramatically in the past year or so.
