Reminder: #Tether
is registered and regulated under FinCEN as all the centralised competitors. Strict KYC/AML is applied to all Tether direct users, as the other main issuers are doing. Less regulated is just FUD. Ask yourself who benefits from spreading such misinformation?

I heard in a popular podcast today that Tether hasn't been audited still, and isn't backed 1 for 1 with dollars. Is that true? Have you got a link to a recent audit if that's not true?

The latest "attestation" on their website is from 2018 and that's not a real audit. Tether has 10x'ed their market cap now compared to then.

Being regulated for AML/KYC policies is one thing, but being offshore US dollar stablecoin is another one. If you want to compare with USDC, move all funds to US banks and tether HQ to USA. That shouldn't be a problem.. right?
