While #tether
is breaking all growth records, I love that the entire stablecoin offering is expanding the overall monetary base.
Aggregate efforts from multiple companies are more likely to succeed than bringing this whole concept forward alone.

> The entire stablecoin offering is expanding the overall monetary base Are you referring to CBDCs? Otherwise I can't think of why private sector stablecoins would have an impact on the monetary base.

You mean the total market capitalization? There's no monetary base in crypto. Something I found interesting on this topic though regarding money supply:https://twitter.com/ercwl/status/1227874844789874688?s=19 …

eriverse @ercwlReplying to @blackswandar @BitcoinMagazineOne of the favorite questions I've asked myself recently is whether Dai is tokenized "$1 of ETH" (et. al) or if it's really a "dollar". If it's a dollar, does it also inflate the U.S. dollar money supply? And if Dai was pegged to BTC instead, would it inflate the BTC supply (M2)?2 replies 0 retweets 3 likes
