5/10 * gamers could create alliances to help defending a bigger territory Technically it was quite challenging. For the base game UI I used https://openlayers.org/ + openstreetmap + jQuery. Backend was mainly PHP + MySQL + C (for the location service)

6/10 I had to build a really complex in-memory data structure (entire earth boundaries) in order to calculate where tanks/ships could move (land vs sea). High-performance calculation and movement prediction had to be perfect in order to offer a smooth experience.

7/10 Lot of gamers started to use it and contributed with great ideas to increase strategies complexity, in-game weapons, ... I had a lot of fun.

8/10 After a year or so I started working on another really amazing project and decided to sell warwide to a sexy shop owner that loved the game
