Privacy starts from the hardware. We need open source devices, especially Linux based mobile phones. I would expect much more investment and competition in this sector, a pushback against increasing global monitoring. What do you guys use? I'm waiting for Librem 5 at the moment.
I'm looking at it too. What the distro you would recommend running on it?

Ubuntu Touch is the more mature, it's also the only designed for smartphones, with stuff like image based updates, confined apps, privileges to access sensors, etc... However PinePhone is not yet daily driver ready, it might be maybe in a few months.
