1) provide avenues for sustainable funding (VC, mainly) 2) minimize barrier to entry (Ethereum has done a great job here with Infura, Truffle, etc.) 3) build a vibrant community (global hackathons, sense of purpose, memes, etc.) And more, I'm sure

Attracting more developers and talent is key. Although many are excited by the potential of LN, it's somehow fixed in people's mind that it's still a risky tool. Sure it has still to mature but I think the wider message should be: - start developing on LN today, is fkn awesome!
