It has slowed down a bit in the last week. I think it's expected (initial momentum / excitement), although I'd like to push for a wider user reach. At the same time we are surprisingly seeing some big-corporate interest in opening dedicated big-size channels with us!

How about a Bitfinex Merchant Services, powered by
@BtcpayServer? * No licensing costs(MIT license) * Skinnable to your branding needs * Can be integrated to your platform's userbase for seamless wallet experiences * Low effort requirements from your end - BTCPay is battle-tested - End of conversation

How much capital did Bitfinex allocate for this operation (providing channel liquidity), could this have been allocated in different ways? What about infrastructure maintenance/monitoring costs?
-
I don’t understand these capital requirement objections to lightning when exchanges already need capital in their hot wallets to operate. A portion of the hot wallet funds shift to lightning channels to improve UX.
