I think I never had a straight night since joining @bitfinex as CTO.
Most of high volume traders have my direct TG contact, I want to be the first one to be alerted if they sniff anything suspicious. This helped me few times to identify and solve immediately annoying issues.https://twitter.com/fintechfrank/status/1214371585135718400 …

Most of the time is just API / data misunderstanding or issues on customer side, but until you read all messages you can't be sure if the issue is on customer side or exchange side, so it's better to always be available in first line with your team.

I love this attitude. Nothing better then holding the line with your crew. December 2017 was crazy. I was sleeping like 3 hours that quarter.

Agreed. Giving the example is important. You can't ask 110% from your team mates and not do the same. Also you owe to whom trusts you.

Also those times are great bonding experiences between all of you. I met life long friends in the trenches because I knew they had my back and I had theirs. Synergizing under pressure is beautiful and feels so good when your out of the fire.

Indeed another great wise pearl. While you think you know a person, dealing with him/her in trenches makes a big difference and tells you much more than in day-to-day life.

Oh! now I remember what
@bitfinex was up to that quarter. You were having quite the end of Oct 2017 and early November 2017. I was likely one of your frequent pings.
Thanks for all your help. We've been in the trenches together and didnt even realize it.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like
