https://github.com/bitfinexcom/grenache-grape …, it's a really tiny node (< 400 LOC) that offers service announce/lookup on a DHT network and offers clients depending on the transport layer you want to use (http, zmq, ws, ...).

Basically we wanted to have fun, build something really micro, truly scalable, that could adapt to many infrastructure shapes and make sure our building block would be fully maintained forever :)
