what's the difference vs using http://api.bitfinex.com ?
No difference in protocol, access etc... but api-pub is a set of servers optimised for public market data and will let us scale better on that front

True :) we have been working on a HFT gateway that will be offered to customers based on their fee tier. That's a retail solution compared to co-location (
