All the groups wrote f(x)=a(x-2.5)²+5 and most if them found a=-0.48 using f(0)=2 but two groups decided to assume f(4.5)=3 to get a=-0.5

These 2 groups then calculated f(0) and didn't find 0. Then they went back to finding the correct a because that couldn't help solve the pb.

Then everyone calculated f(4.5)=3.08 > 3 and wondered if they could give an answer to the question "will the ball go through the hoop?"

Most of them were going for 8cm is not so much, so the shoot is valid. Nice discussions at this point.

Only two groups had the idea to solve f(x)=3. I had to help the other students to get there. And then gave them the radius of ball & hoop.

The 2 fastest groups managed to find the landing point. Pretty happy to them working on this, nice teamwork in most of the groups.
